The Village of Langza Village, Himachal which is also famous for the fossils of sea creatures. Small groups of houses made of Tibetan Shelly are found here. Langza village is situated at an altitude of 4400 meters in the Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, India.
The most interesting thing here is that the Langza and Spiti valley was a valley of marine fauna and flora below the Tethys Sea millions of years ago. Today there is no Tethys Sea, but the fossils of sea creatures are still giving testimony of their time here.
Finding fossils requires just a keen eye, not a guide.
It is situated at a distance of about 13 kms from Kaza. Fields swaying with green crops attract you to themselves. A huge statue of Lord Mercury has also been constructed here.
