Kaza is situated at an altitude of about 3700 meters on the banks of the Spiti River in Lahual Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is said to be the cold desert of Himachal Pradesh.

It is an important trading center of Lahaul Spiti which is surrounded by snowy mountains from all sides. If you are fond of adventure along with natural beauty, then definitely make a plan to visit here.

Rivers and waterfalls have a special contribution in enhancing the beauty of this place. This entire Spiti valley is full of ancient villages, mythological monasteries and other places of interest.

It is about 420 km away from the capital Shimla. Many homestays and hotels are also available in Kaza. The nearest rail route to Kaza is Shimla and Airway Kullu is the Bhuntar airport in Manali.

Spiti parallels Tibet and Ladakh regions in terms of its climate and Bodh culture. Kaza town is spread over 4 kms on the banks of Spiti river in Spiti valley.

There are two ways to reach here, one via Manali which is open for 6 months in a whole year. The second via Shimla which is open almost throughout the year till Kaza. Kaza is connected with National Highway 505 Shimla and Manali.

From here you can visit Langja Village, Comic Village, Hikkim Village, Key Village, Kibber Village, Chichum Village, Tashigang Village, Losar Village, Kunzum Pass and Chandertal which are considered to be major tourist destinations.
